"Mother Goose was phenomenal!  My teachers and students cannot stop commenting on her show. If it hadn’t been the end of the year I am sure that my students would be checking out my mother goose books constantly. "

Margaret as Herself! Most of the time, she is so well disguised by her character, children do not realize it is the same lady under the costume! Don't worry, we'll keep the secret

Kids Laugh as they Learn!

Teaching is difficult enough these days. There is so much a child must learn from PK – 5th grade. There are also different kinds of learners. How do you reach all the children including the ones that may have ADHD or other special needs? Through the arts! Studies have shown that “the arts” when tied into a program grab and keep children’s attention.

All MCP programs use the arts to stimulate young audience’s minds to hear, see, and REMEMBER information-all done in a creative way. Art forms that are used to achieve these goals are brilliant ventriloquism and puppetry as well as masterful storytelling. A puppet cloud may help teach children about the water cycle. A talking book may teach the children the definition of words or proper book care. Stories told can inform, move us to tears, change our attitudes, and even inspire us. All this can be accomplished with laughter while igniting young audiences’ imagination.

Margaret has worked regularly for such notable agencies as Big Thought of Dallas (formerly Young Audiences of North Texas) since 1998. Big Thought is an Arts in Education Agency that sends highly skilled performing artists into schools mostly in the Dallas area. She is also on the roster for Young Audiences of NE Texas as well as Young Audiences of Abilene. Her programs all meet TEKS standards.

She has a wonderful array of educationally significant, engaging children's programs to choose from that have all been tested and refined in front of live audiences. The age range covered varies from pre-school up to 5th grade. Margaret invites you to take a few minutes at the section most relevant to your needs. You'll find characters with educational messages that work with kids!
